Program Coordinator (Oakland)

The Program Coordinator administers Centro’s entrepreneurship training programs, provides logistical support to trainers, and ensure that entrepreneurship training programs are implemented according to program management procedures and meet its key performance indicators and impact requirements.

Specific responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

Activities

  • Ensure program participant info, trainer hours and meeting summaries are recorded and up-to-date.

  • Meet monthly with the Program Manager to discuss opportunities, problems and other issues with training programs.

  • Ensure trainers’ program management processes are being followed, gather data and provide support when needed.

  • Communicate to Program Manager and Director of Program Development app accounts to connect to trainers’ Advisor Portal accounts.

  • Order and print materials workbooks, flyers and other materials.

  • Input entrepreneur information in Salesforce.

  • Coordinate and support entrepreneurs using Centro’s spot in the Oakland Farmers’ Market.

  • Coordinate Alumni gatherings.

  • Attend Centro workshops in the Bay Area and Stockton.

  • Attend industry events in the Bay Area and read industry reports to learn about the Economic Development ecosystem.

  • Reports to Program Manager and support trainers.

  • Record and report feedback from entrepreneurs’ program experience and trainer observations to Program Director on a weekly basis.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a BA/BS Degree and one year of work experience (or equivalent).

  • Proficient in English and Spanish is a plus.

  • Experience using Google Docs and Microsoft Office required. SalesForce experience a plus.

  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

  • Works well with existing procedures.

  • Good listener and active communicator.

  • Likes working with technology.

  • Interested in working in or learning more about Project Management and Operations.

  • Note taking and documentation skills

Work Expectations:

  • Annual vacation time: 15 days.

  • Work primarily in Centro’s office in downtown Oakland.

  • Willing to travel to different training locations within the Bay Area and to conferences throughout the USA.

  • Work primarily Monday-Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional work in evenings and on Saturdays. Max 40 hours per week.

  • Compensation: $15 per hour.
